Overview and Deadlines
We invite proposals for workshops and tutorials, offered as either half-day or full-day sessions. Workshops and tutorials are a key component of the IEEE RoboSoft conference, providing an opportunity for researchers to share and discuss the latest advances, emerging topics, and future directions with the soft robotics community.
These sessions are intended to complement the main conference programme by allowing attendees to explore specific topics in greater depth, engage in interactive discussions, and develop new skills.

Two days of workshops and tutorials will be held at the beginning of the conference. The programme will consist of:

Proposals will be peer-reviewed and competitively selected based on their relevance to the conference theme, expected impact on the community, quality of planning, and contribution to topic and participant diversity. We particularly encourage proposals that include novel formats, interactive activities, discussion-based sessions, and opportunities for student engagement.
To ensure broad community participation, invited speakers may present in no more than two workshops. Organizers are asked to confirm this with invited speakers. We strongly encourage the inclusion of emerging researchers and voices that are less frequently represented within the community.
Letters of endorsement from Technical Committees (TCs) are not required and will not be considered during the review process.
Inclusivity Matters
As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we encourage organizers to consider diversity in nationality, gender, geography, career stage, and experience when selecting co-organizers, presenters, invited speakers, and tutorial instructors.
Workshops
We encourage workshop proposals that explore active, emerging, or controversial topics in soft robotics, including research, education, and community-focused themes. Workshops should foster discussion, encourage brainstorming, promote student participation, and stimulate new ideas and collaborations within the field.
Tutorials
If you have expertise in a particular area of soft robotics—whether in research, teaching, or community engagement—we encourage you to submit a tutorial proposal. Tutorials should provide participants with an engaging learning experience that combines conceptual understanding with practical knowledge.

Reviewer Guidelines / Selection Criteria
All proposals will undergo peer review. Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive, long-form feedback. Proposals must satisfy the requirements outlined in the submission template to be considered.
Selection will also seek to ensure a balanced programme covering a diverse range of topics across soft robotics while aligning with the conference theme. The evaluation criteria are designed to fairly assess both traditional workshop formats and innovative proposals that introduce new ways of engaging participants and advancing the field.
Strong proposals should satisfy all criteria and demonstrate excellence in one or more areas.
