Soft Robots in the Wild

The theme for the 10th IEEE International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft27) centres on “Soft Robotics in the Wild”, emphasizing both the source of endless bioinspiration that drives our field, and the ongoing maturation of soft robotics technology into deployment in tough natural environments.

Our diverse and varied program includes talks, posters, an art exhibit, and a range of social events highlighting the best that Australia has to offer. Hosted by the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, RoboSoft27 takes place in the heart of Brisbane’s thriving cultural district including Queensland Museum, a performing arts centre, an artificial beach and lagoon, and a range of cafes, bars, and clubs – all within walking distance of the venue!

As well as looking to the future, RoboSoft27 offers the opportunity for introspection. As 2027 marks the 10th Robosoft conference, a special event will be planned to celebrate this historic milestone as we take in how far we have come as a field, and which major challenges still remain.
